Kei a wai? is a board game for teaching Māori language. Players learn Māori words, Māori phrases, Māori grammar, Māori sentence structures and Māori pronunciation. This Māori language game exists in several versions – each with its own teaching focus. Each language game version uses colourful images coupled with spoken questions and answers to systematically build oral skills. The games are fun to play and suitable for Māori language learners of all ages. The simplicity of the language games (along with optional audio tapes) allows teachers and parents with very basic levels of language proficiency to quickly become competent.
